1- Concept Maps

It helps learners improve their vocabulary, as they try to understand how to derive the meaning of a word from the context even if they do not know the word. A list of the sentence is made each contain one word that the learners do not know.

Brainstorming is giving a keyword and new vocabulary is based around it. for example, learners can be given a root word and asked to use prefixes and sufficed to make new words, by brainstorming all the words they can make with that root.

Text twist is a general vocabulary building exercise. Learners are given a word and asked to come up with as many words as possible made from the letters of that word. The longer the word the more letters the learners can come up with.
