OTET Syllabus Paper 2 PDF

OTET syllabus comprises of two sections which are 

1- Compulsory 
2- Optional

1- Compulsory
  • Child Development and Pedagogy- 30 Q (30 Marks)
  • Language 1 (Odia/Urdu)- 30 Marks
  • Language 2 (English)- 30 Marks
  • Total- 90 Marks
2- Optional
  • For Mathematics and Science Teachers- 60 Marks
  • For Social Studies Teacher- 60 Marks
  • Total- 60 Marks
All the questions will be multiple-choice questions, each carrying one mark with four alternatives out of which one answer will be correct. Questions will be set to assess candidates' ability to analyze interpret and apply the subject matter.

There will be no negative mark in the OTET examination.

Qualifying Marks for OTET exam
  • A candidate who scores 60% or more in the TET examination will be considered as TET pass.
  • Candidates belonging to SC, ST/OBC physical handicapped securing scores 50% marks may be considered as TET pass
  • The TET score will be given weightage in the recruitment process.
